Waste Segregation & Redistribution

Bringing reuse down to community level
Overview
In Dubai, easy access to waste segregation and redistribution often depends on large-scale corporate programmes. That leaves many residents without a simple way to sort their waste or pass on items that still have use.
This project brings waste redistribution down to community level. By making it easier and more local, we want every resident to have a way to keep useful items out of the bin.
We're starting with three types of waste, introduced in phases:
What we'll collect
Stationery
Unused or reusable school and office supplies
E-waste
Old electronics and electrical items
From drop-off to impact report
How it will work
- Step 1
Collect.
Residents drop items at community collection points.
- Step 2
Sort.
Items are sorted and checked.
- Step 3
Redistribute.
Items are passed on to people who can use them.
- Step 4
Report.
We share what was collected and where it went, so everyone can see their impact.
What success looks like
Our goals
- Make waste segregation accessible to every community, not just large organisations
